The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Sagnarigu constituency, Attah Issah says he is wondering how Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can get the over 30 million Ghanaians to believe in him, when he failed to convince his boss, President Akufo-Addo to do same.

He asked the question when he was speaking exclusively on radio Tamale today, February 9 responding to the recent presentation by the vice president, disappointing himself from some failures of the Akufo-Addo led government.

According to him, Bawumia himself described himself as a mate whose, while his boss, president Akufo-Addo is the driver, and many of the suggestions he gave to his boss deliver are rejected, leading to the failure of the NPP government.

Mr. Attah Issah believed it is going to be possible for Ghanaians to believe the veep, who is now leading the NPP into the next elections to trust him after declaring that he could not convince the government on killer policies.

“If you cannot convince president Akufo-Addo who chose you to assist him, how do you convince the over 30 million Ghanaians to believe in your ideas? If you had said Akufo-Addo doesn’t listen to you, Ghanaians would have forgiven you”, the NDC parliamentary candidate, Attah Issah told the veep.

This follows Dr Bawumia’s plea to Ghanaians to vote for him as the next president to give him the mandate to implement policies that will grow the country.

“As Vice-President, I am like a driver’s mate. But if, by the Grace of God, you make me President, I will be in the driver’s seat with constitutionally mandated authority to pursue my vision and my priorities,” he said at a lecture on Wednesday.
