The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Konkombas Youth Groups of the Bimbilla constituency in the Northern Region have pledged their unflinching support for Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk who is seeking to be a Parliamentary Candidate for NPP of the Bimbilla constituency.
This was revealed after the youth thronged the constituency office on Thursday December 21, 2023, to pick nomination forms on behalf of Alhaji Ahmed Zaruk popularly known as ‘SOKAM ZARUK’.
According to the youth, they decided to pick the forms for Alhaji Zaruk because they think that he is the only one who can properly manage the affairs of the constituency.
Accompanied by a mammoth crowd, the youth was on the view that the incumbent Member of Parliament of the area Honorable Dominic Nitwul, has for the past years failed the constituents most especially the youth of the party hence their decision to support Alhaji Zaruk.
Convener of the Group YOJA ERNES, explained further that, “today 21st December 2023, we Konkombas went to the party office to pick forms for Alhaji Zaruk to contest the upcoming parliamentary primaries. The man does not discriminate Konkombas or Nanumbas. We need to give him the mandate. Alhaji Zaruk is the only person who can take care of the development, peace and unity within the Bimbilla constituency”.
“We identified him as a Savior of the constituency. And so, we mobilize an amount of Gh¢ 3,000 to pick the forms on his behalf,” he added.
The youth after picking the forms subsequently hand the forms to Alhaji Zaruk at his private residence in Bimbilla.
The NPP parliamentary aspirant for Bimbilla constituency after receiving the forms commended the youth for the gesture, saying he will work closely with all party faithful to redeem the lost confidence among the NPP people in the Bimbilla constituency.
Alhaji Zaruk while cautioning his supporters against indulging in politics of insults, also called on the constituency executives to ensure a level playground for all the aspirants.
Alhaji Zaruk is a Businessman and he’s hoping to unseat the incumbent MP who is also the Defense Minister Honorable Dominic Nitwul whom many NPP supporters accused of performing abysmally.
In a related development, an aspiring parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Bimbilla constituency, has filed his nomination forms to contest the upcoming NPP parliamentary primaries in the Bimbilla constituency.
Submitting his nomination, he reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people of Bimbilla constituency with unwavering dedication and integrity.
