Chefs are paid more than gov’t workers; take it seriouse – Chef Eric advises men

Assistant chef to Chef Abdul Razak Faila in the just ended Guinness World Record cooking marathon in Tamale, Chef Eric Malik has advised men in the profession to it seriouse, saying that it is lucrative.

The indefatigable chef Eric said this in an interview with journalists at the Modern City Hotel where the event was held from January 1 this year to January 10.

“In life, whatever you will lay your hand on and get a daily bread, take it seriously. I have colleagues who have been chef for long time. But I have this opportunity and everybody wants to know me”, Chef Eric told the media.

“Those people who want to talk to me, I don’t think I could even get close to them. Common chef who is able to meet president or a minister to come and bow before you. So every work is important. They (men who are chefs) should take it seriouse. Chefs are even paid more than government workers”, he added.

Chef Eric Malik who assisted Chef Faila in the kitchen for 9 days and 11 hours nonstop has hinted at attempting his version of Guinness World Records cookathon attempt.

It has now come to bear that during the ten-day period, Chef Failatu prepared 156 different kinds of foods, with this, 2864 plates were served, out of which 450 plates went to an orphanage, the homeless and the less privileged.
