Dr. Anta establishes 15 billion old cedis Education Fund for Tamale Central constituents

Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has announced a personal endeavor of establishing a dedicated education fund to empower the some areas in Tamale Central Constituency ; Aboabo and Zogbeli respectively.

Dr. Amin Adam has also allocated a total of 1.5 million Cedis as seed funding for his initiative which aims to foster educational opportunities for the youth in these areas.

Out of the allocated amount, 1 million Cedis will be channeled into the Aboabo Education Fund, with an additional 500,000 Cedis dedicated to the Zogbeli fund.

The MP for Karaga, who has strong ties to Aboabo as his birthplace, expressed his commitment to supporting the education of talented but underprivileged students, adding the scholarship fund was his way of giving back to the communities that played a pivotal role in his upbringing.

During his visit to Aboabo and Zogbeli on Sunday, Dr. Amin Adam engaged with local elders and opinion leaders, emphasizing the importance of education in community development.

He conveyed his belief in the transformative power of education and how it can uplift not only individuals but entire communities.

In addition to the education fund, the Finance Minister made another commitment during his visit, pledging to support women in these communities by providing loan facilities to help them initiate or expand their businesses. 

The education fund and economic empowerment initiatives are expected to resonate positively, creating a ripple effect that will benefit Aboabo and Zogbeli for years to come. 

The communities, through their leaders, expressed gratitude for the Minister’s unwavering support, acknowledging the potential transformative effects of these interventions on the lives of their residents.
