The Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has supported the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) aimed at addressing some critical challenges faced by the facility in the discharge of its duties.

Dr. Anta who doubles as Member of Parliament (MP) for Karaga Constituency made the presentation to the management of the facility at a short ceremony on April 9 yesterday, Tuesday, 2024. (

Addressing the staff of TTH at the event, the minister said the intervention was as a results of his personal commitment to the welfare of the people, adding that this was his contribution to ensuring quality health care in the north.

The donation includes ten (10) poly tanks, a promise to add three (3) dialysis machines, 100,00 GHC in cash and 200 bags of essential food products to support those undergoing treatment at the hospital.

According to the Karaga legislator, the GHc100,000.00 earmarked for the renovation of an underground water storage facility.

On his part, CEO of the hospital, Dr. Adam Atiku expressed profound gratitude for the minister’s benevolence, emphasizing the critical role these resources will play in enhancing the delivery of quality healthcare services within the hospital.
