Kofi Bentil of IMANI Africa has reiterated his support for Vice President and NPP 2024 flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia over the former president, John Mahama saying that the former is better than the latter.

According to Bentil, who has been an open supporter of Bawumia, the vice president has distinguished himself as a member of a government, adding that he is aware of the anger of Ghanians towards the NPP government.

Kofi Bentil said this on his Facebook timeline when he was responding to a comment by one Fuseini Safianu Mandeya who thought the IMANI Africa man should not have indulged in open campaign for the veep ahead of the 2024 general elections.

“Fuseini Safianu Mandeya my activism has political effect but I’m not a politician. There’s a difference. I’m an active citizen.

I chose DMB because someone must run Ghana after Nana Addo and after much thought and consideration I concluded that the best and most promising person who has never been President and has proven not corrupt is better than one who has had the chance.

I will respect your choice, I simply ask for the same respect.

I understand that people are upset with this government. What I don’t understand is why they don’t realize this government is over.”
