Social media communicator for the governing NPP in the Northern Region, identified by his Facebook name as Saadat Nabila Ablayi has expressed his thoughts over the nomination of the energy minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as running mate to the 2024 NPP flagbearer, describing the nominee as “desperate”.

Taking to Facebook, Saadat who is a member of NPP SMC said people shouldn’t take it as though the  Member of Parliament for Manhyia South has been considered following his nomination by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2024 elections.

According to him, the 2008 flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo made similar nominations but it was rejected by the steering committee, adding that it was as a result of those rejections the candidate finally settled on Dr. Bawumia.

It’s like certain people are unaware of how things are done in this party unless of course for proganda sake.

The flagbearer has to submit whoever he wants name to the Steering Committee & it’s Chairman & not the President ooooh!!!

Unless whoever did the above publication is now trying to tell us that the President is now the steering committee chairman.

I remember how Nana Addo choice was first rejected by the committee in 2007 and he has to go back and search for another peer. Members of the committee even attested that, they rejected his second choice of  Bawumia until Kufour the peerless one intervened.

From all indications, Napo is very desperate and they’ve succeeded in hoodwinking almost everyone to believe it should be NAPO.

Any way,  I wish Dr. Bawumia well in performing the above task in peace ooooh
