Sagnarigu : top A. B. A. Fuseini's supporters declare support for NPP Felicia

Some top supporters of the Sagnarigu MP, Alhaji A. B. A. Fuseini have joined the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Felicia Tettey in her new year engagement with widows.

They are one Sanatu Abdul Razak and another one popularly known as N’ma Adisa who are part of this year’s benefitiaries of widows and women’s group leaders drawn from various electoral areas in the Sagnarigu constituency.

Speaking exclusively to radio Tamale’s Fuseini Safianu at the event, N’ma Adisa said they were happy to be part of the beneficiaries of the package, praying that madam Felicia Tettey should win the upcoming elections to enable her do more the women in Sagnarigu.

“Madam Felicia Tettey is doing this because she wants to be elected as MP for Sagnarigu. She has been there but couldn’t get the nod. This time I pray the people of Sagnarigu constituency give their mandate to us. So she can do more for us to support our orphans”, N’ma Adisa who affectionately calls herself A. B. A. Magazia told radio Tamale.

This year, the Sagnarigu NPP parliamentary candidate has donated hampers to over 300 windows and some women’s group leaders a in the area to mark the beginning of the new year.

The donation includes food items, cloth and cash which is an annual programme done every year to support widows as part of her end of year activities.

The beneficiaries were 20 widows and 5 women’s group leaders from each electoral area in the Sagnarigu constituency.

Addressing the gathering at the event, Felicia Tettey said the donation was part of her contributions towards the betterment of the life of the windows and to encourage women to give their all in developing the constituency.

The Parliamentary Candidate revealed that over the years she has supported widows to celebrate festivities.

Felicia Tettey added that she observed a lot of the widows cannot celebrate the festivities due to financial challenges, hence, the decision to make the donation to support them.

Mrs. Tettey also used the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to the constitutes to elect her as Member Of Parliment for the Sagnarigu constituency.

“I do this every year. And it is not because I am vying to be elected as MP that is why I supporting you. Because campaigns have not started yet. Last year I came to you asking for your votes, but you didn’t vote for me as constituents to lead you. But it does not stop me from doing my best to help”, she told the widows.
