The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savelugu Constituency has suspended its Wataniya E/A School branch secretary, identified as Abdul Ghaniyyu Abubakari for comments on Facebook that is deemed anti-party behavior.

In a suspension letter sighted by dominancetv.com, signed by the constituency chairman, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Sasa, it says, “The Constituency Executive Committee wishes to remind you about your earlier publication on social media which had the potentials of ridiculing and embarrassing
the party and the Hon. Member of Parliament who doubles as our parliamentary candidate.”

The publication was seen as an anti-party act which resulted in your summon by the constituency Executive Committee to justify such publication”, the suspended secretary’s Facebook post quoted in the letter.
