Video: Tolon students lie on stomach to study for lack of furniture, Dr. Damba donates to schools

The lack of furniture in some schools in the Tolon district is affecting teaching and learning, resulting in students have to sit on the bare floor and sometimes lie on their stomach to learn, during classes hours.

This, according to the residents in those communities, they made appeal to government, NGOs and individuals to come to their aid to arrest the situation to create conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.

And in response, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Tolon constituency, Dr. Osman Tahiru Damba donated over 70 furniture to be distributed to the three schools within the area.

The benefitiary schools are, Wala, Kpeindua and Nyankpala.

Headmaster for Wala primary and JHS, Ibrahim Abdul Somed said Dr. Damba’s support came at a time they actually needed it, saying that their doors are still open for anyone ready to support them.

His colleague, Richard Baba, who is also the headmaster for Kpeindu JHS also thanked the NDC parliamentary candidate for Tolon, saying that no politician has ever come their aid in a manner Dr. Damba has done.
