The NPP in the Tamale Central Constituency have expressed their regret for failing to vote finance minister, Dr. Adam Amin Anta to represent them in precious elections held in the constituency.

They made this known today, Sunday February 18 at a press conference to officially congratulate Dr. Anta on his appointment as minister of finance in President Akufo-Addo’s government to replace Ken Ofori Atta.

Speaking on behalf of the party supporters, Alhaji Kamir Yari-Naa said looking at the development Dr. Anta is sending to Karaga constituency, where he is now the MP, and his current promotion, the entire party is regretful that they couldn’t do much to make him their MP.

“You can see from the crowd that everybody has regretted. Is only that you can see it on our faces, though we are not saying it. But this is the bitter truth I want to speak out. We have regretted for rejecting Dr. Amin Anta. He contested on several occasions in Tamale Central and was rejected. Then he moved to Karaga. But today, the massive development in Karaga constituency, they should be indebted to us in Tamale Central”, Alhaji Kamir Yari-Naa told the media.

According to him, the finance minister has all the good characters of a leader, adding that they all grew up together through makaranta and to secondary school, and has always demonstrated those good qualities, disclosing that he was part of those who used to organize extra classes for secondary school students.
