The king of Dagbon kingdom, Yaa-Naa Abukari II has said that the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Adam Amin Anta as finance minister in President Akufo-Addo’s government is something that the entire kingdom about be proud of.

In his welcome speech today, February 19 at the Gbewaa palace, Yaa-Naa told the minister that his “appointment is a source of pride and inspiration for the people of Dagbon, and I have confidence that you will continue to serve with honor, integrity,
and diligence to the welfare and progress of our beloved nation.”

Akufo Addo and will support him in serving the nation as best as you can. Talking about supporting the president in carrying out his vision for Ghana, bear in mind that you will also serve as a conduit for us to relay my suggestions, pleas and pledges to him”, the king added.

Until his appointment, Dr. Amin Adam was the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry. He takes over from Ken Ofori-Atta who served in office for seven years.
